Yasser Mohamed

Yasser Mohamed is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Alberta and the Director of the Construction Innovation Centre (CIC). A licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), his research focuses on advancing construction engineering and management through simulation, digitalization, and the application of machine learning and AI tools. As Director of the CIC, he leads a collaborative platform that brings together over 50 industry partners and 40 researchers from diverse disciplines to develop innovative solutions for pressing challenges in the construction industry. He is particularly interested in fostering effective strategies to bridge the gap between industry and academia, ensuring that research translates into meaningful impact.
