Daniel East

As the Group Lead of Advanced Manufacturing and Metals at CSIRO, Daniel oversees a team of 30+ researchers who work on cutting-edge projects in additive manufacturing, alloy development, large format robotic additive, and continuous powder compaction. With a PhD in Materials Engineering from Monash University and over ten years of experience in leadership positions, Daniel has a strong background in materials science, production system development, mechanical testing, and non-equilibrium metallic systems.

Daniel is a member of the leadership team for the Additive Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre a $271 million dollar industry led research fund, and also sits on the Australian Additive Manufacturing Network advisory panel a industry network supporting additive manufacturing in Australia
