Diana Ly is the Assistant Director of the Alberta Advanced Manufacturing International (AbAMI) Hub, a University of Alberta–led initiative in partnership with InnoTech Alberta and Alberta Innovates. In this role, she supports the strategic, partnership and operational activities of the Hub, helping to advance its mission of accelerating the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies in Alberta and globally.

With more than 15 years of leadership experience in strategy, economic development, and partnership management, Diana brings expertise in connecting industry, government, and post-secondary institutions to drive innovation, workforce development, and organizational growth. She has led initiatives spanning advanced manufacturing, energy transition, health innovation, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and regional economic development. Her work has included securing funding for multi-stakeholder collaborations, aligning research and industry priorities, strengthening innovation adoption, and building cross-sector strategies that support competitiveness and long-term growth.

As Assistant Director, she plays a key role in bridging strategic vision with operational delivery, ensuring that the Hub’s research, technology deployment, and workforce development programs deliver measurable impact. Her record of advancing collaboration, building long-term partnerships, and mobilizing resources underscores her commitment to strengthening Alberta’s innovation ecosystem and positioning it within global advanced manufacturing networks.
